Gender identity is such a huge and so often overlooked issue in our society. I really liked the quote made by the specialist on gender identity: 

“We are very uncomfortable when we are unable to categorize.”

Such truth. Why is it that everything has to fit a certain label or norm? Why can’t embrace diversity and also recognize that which binds all us together: our humanity?

Look at Dyson. Look past the fact that he clearly fits the physical description of what society deems a boy but dresses in clothes that society deems to be feminine. Look at how happy he is. Look at that bright smile. Why would anyone deny him of that?
